Did you know Cats make a particularly great companion for autistic children especially to improve social skills and anxiety.
There is literally a book called All cats are on the autism spectrum.
I have 2 cats, one is called Mitzy and she is a very good hunter. We got her in my last, last house, and we got her because I was autistic, but this was the secondary reason, the main reason is my mum wanted a cat
The second cat is called Tobbie, and he is clumsy and likes hunting rabbits.
We got Tobbie from a farm to give to Peet (my great grandad), but Tobbie was Too extreme and we got Tobbie for father's day and my dad was not impressed, but Tobbie is loving now, but still extreme.
I also have a dog called Pepper, that is actually my nana’s and grandad’s dog but we live right next door, and Pepper roams both houses at any time except night time.
Also did you know that Hamsters like Cats help autistic people improve social skills and also hamsters make autistic people less likely to frown.
Did you know in 2021 on National cat day a study was done to prove some traits of cats that make them good pets for people with autism.
The study tested a number of autistic people and a number of typical people and the question was what animal do you prefer, a cat? Or a dog?
Most Autistic people went for a cat.
Scientists believe that autistic people like cats because they process the world similarly, and they both do not like looking straight into people's eyes.
This is THE END of this blog.
Hope you learned more, seen more, about autism.
