How to fix ABA therapy

Firstly, change the name to AMATW, (that will stand for Autistic Minds Adaptations To World).

Remove punishment, remove people touching or shouting at Autistic people and teach Autistic people good things, not obedience, no one has obedience except pets, and the things that we do are choices, not obedience.

The person should talk quietly to the autistic person and not touch them.

They should add this paper, called MEET THE SMOOTHIES. I got MEET THE SMOOTHIES from speech therapy, and I will tell you what it is because it is not on the internet. Basically MEET THE SMOOTHIES, is a paper with funny characters that will help you learn to speak clearly, and write.

Buzz

Buzz, last name is not lightyears, his last name is buzz because he is a busy bee. Some say he is the Bee's Knee beecause he works his best and always breathe in and out beefore talking.

Slover

Slover is a snail without a shell, some people call him a slug. He has been trying to tell people he is a snail not a slug but when he finishes talking to them there gone because It has taken 5 years just to say “ hellooooooooooooooooooooo thereeeeeeeeeee, Myyyyyyyy nameeee issssss sloverrrrrrr IIIIIII ammmmm aaaaaa snail nottt aaaaa sluggggg!” As you can see, Slover talks very slowly but very smoothly. Remember to talk slow but not too slow, and always talk smoothly.

Flow

Flow is a dog that likes to sing, he sings every word because that is how he learns to speak clearly human, because he is still a dog. He also teaches singing, he finds singing makes him improve speaking, maybe you will improve by singing words as well.

Slic Slide

Slic Slide is a good talker, he always gets out of trouble. His best item is his skateboard, he always slides down and up a ramp until his dinner is ready. He gets a good meal for his dinner because as I said before he is a good talker. How he talks so clearly is that he practises saying a word HIGH To Low every day.

Big Softie

Big Softie is a snowman, he is really nice mostly because he is made out of ice. He is laid back, mostly because he is frozen and he can not move and also he is a very gentle speaker because made out of ice. You can describe Big Softie as lots of things, lazy, relaxed, or a snowman that is frozen.

Skipeasy

Skipeasy loves playing games, but he always skips the easy versions of the game and goes onto the harder versions of the game. Skipeasy is a very confident speaker, he speaks with courage and speaks with spirit. He finds speaking confidently makes him relax while speaking. Maybe you should try speaking confidently as well.

These characters you just read are called THE SMOOTHIES.

I am just going to thank the people who made the original paper. The original paper has lots of other cool stuff. The characters are from the original paper, but the description of the characters I changed, but I was inspired by the original and I think I made them funnier, because they did say they were funny characters. The one other thing they should change about ABA is that they should try to teach autistic people to learn how to be aware of when they feel like they are about to have sensory overload. From personal experience, I think experience is the best way to feel when sensory overload is about to happen. Do not force it and do not do it fast, just do it slowly. The last general change is they should help and give coping methods for sensory overload and just help autistic people deal with some or the difficulty of autism and not change them, just help them cope with the difficulty.
